I agree that baseball was probably never pure. And obviously it is making a lot of money. The owners and Selig have benifited the most, and the1998 HR chase has a lot to do with this but if you think the circus that we now see is good for baseball you are stupid. Selig is resoponsible for this because he has handled it poorly from the start and now he wants to blame the players. I dont think the players are to blame. I think the quickest way to put this behind us is for Selig to resign.

Since nobody knows when Alex Rodriguez started taking steroids he should be punished 1 or 2 ways

1. He gives back half the money his contract is worth when he signed with the Texas Rangers, bcuz the money was given 2 him bcuz people thought he was a legit player.

OR

2. His home runs n the RBIs that came with them should b erased off his stats from his Mariner years up to his 1st year with the Yanks, so only the HRs n RBIs he hit with the Yanks count since these r his clean years.

At least A-rod has some integrity and courage to apologize for what he did. The guy was already a great player before he was traded to Texas, he probably gave into pressure and made a stupid mistake just like Michael phepls. On the other hand, players like bonds and clemens keep denying that they ever used enhancing performance drugs. Babe Ruth used to drink a lot and smoked tobacco very frequently, to me that’s not 100% percent clean and it also sends a wrong message to youngsters.

A-roids is pretty much saying;…. “to all the little leaguers out there who look up to me, don’t bother working hard and busting your ass to be a good B-ball player. just take Bonds happy juice, i mean steroids”.

lets go A-ROIDS! (clap, clap clap clap clap)….say bye bye to your career! HAHAHAHA!

fast05f7 December 6, 2010 at 4:43 am

i agree he chokes all the time. he goes 0-4 about every other game.

syecapsys December 6, 2010 at 5:09 am

Alex Rodriguez is a flat out liar. I believe he took steroids all the way back to his rookie year maybe high school.

When Alex Rodriguez breaks Barry Bonds fake home run record, the true home run king will always be HAMMERING HANK ARON! until someone clean/natural comes around and passes it.

If tabloid stories and steroid scandals were World Series rings, The Yankees would be on top of the world!! Way to go Stienbrenner. Instead of signing A Rod, why didn’t you just 200 million dollars and throw it onto a fire?

sgr4444 December 6, 2010 at 5:56 am

Baseball was more exciting when everyone was on roids, they should make it legal in baseball again

poopydoolarroo December 6, 2010 at 6:32 am

i gotta start calling him gay-roids instead of gay-rod from now on! GO SOX!!!!!!!!

esteban0321 December 6, 2010 at 7:21 am

Bud Selig needs to resign. He represents MLB and the owners. It is clear that roids where widespread through out baseball with few exceptions. Selig can no longer pretend it was a few isolated cases. This rampant drug use represents a major failure of leadership at the highest levels. The players must carry the stains of this era and I believe that baseball’s cheif executive must be held accountable and MLB must take responsibility for this disaster.

punanibuzzed December 6, 2010 at 8:09 am

who cares if any of these guys do or have done steroids. babe ruth could have done steroids for all we know. we like to watch home runs and grat fielding. thats what you get with roids. i mean, i dont think they should do them but channels like espn persecute these people after they build them up…go a rod

trevor8930 December 6, 2010 at 8:29 am

QQ, i love baseball, but im losing faith in this sport

baileal December 6, 2010 at 9:01 am

How do you know what A-Rod was one does it say it somewhere?

baileal December 6, 2010 at 9:20 am

They still were illegal.

baileal December 6, 2010 at 9:57 am

He admitted when he got caught and just because he admitted it does not make it right. He has said that he has never done roids before he admitted this time.
